Attractions

Phuket has a fantastic array of attractions. From natural to prenatural, from land-based to water activities, there's always something to see and do on Phuket Island. Below are some of our suggested attractions.

Promthep Cape

Promthep Cape is located at the southernmost point of Phuket Island and is sometimes translated as 'God's Cape'. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful spots in Phuket where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunsets. There is also a shrine at Promthep Cape dedicated to the Hindu goddess Brahma, and is also surrounded by wooden carved elephants. In addition to the shrine, there is a lighthouse, a museum and some small shop stalls selling souvenirs.

Kata Beach

Kata beach is one of the most famous beaches in Phuket due to its combination of beauty, facilities and activities. Visitors will find an abundance of restaurants offering all kinds of cuisines from local to international, shops to browse in, and entertainment activities throughout the day and night. If sun and the sands are in your mind this summer then you can head straight for Kata Beach.

Wat Chalong

Of the 29 Buddhist monasteries in Phuket, Wat Chalong is the largest, the most important, and probably the most ornate. It is dedicated to two highly venerable monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, who were famed for using herbal medicine to treat local people. Statues of the abbots inside the monastery are covered in gold leaf. Chalong Temple's rich and colorful history make it the most important and most highly regarded temple in Phuket.

Phi Phi Island (Koh Phi Phi)

One of the most unique and attractive clusters of islands in the Thailand, Koh Phi Phi is a tranquil island that features a number of beaches and there are no roads on the island which makes life more relaxed than usual. However there are a number of water actives one can experience such as Water skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, or scuba diving. The island also features a vibrant nightlife, with Tonsai Beach containing dozens of beach bars and restaurants and lively Tonsai Village consisting of shops, bars, and restaurants. Regular ferry service and daily tours can bring you here between 45 minutes to two hours depending on conditions and choice of boat.

Phuket Fantasea

Known as a cultural theme park, the award winning Las Vegas style show, ‘Fantasy Of A Kingdom’ is truly spectacular. The show is inspired by Thailand's rich and exotic heritage not only showcasing the charm and beauty of Thailand, but also enriches ancient Thai traditions with the wonder of cutting edge technology and special effects. Exciting stunts and elephant performances featuring over 30 elephants, all into one unforgettably unique theatrical experience guaranteed to delight visitors of all ages. There are numerous restaurants, handicrafts and shopping venues scattered across the park, all of which suggest a promising evening experience for anyone wishing to visit it. A visitor to the island had once said: "If you visit Phuket you cannot not miss the extravagant Phuket Fantasea Show"
